Popular Nollywood actress joins US Navy
Popular Nollywood actress Grace Bassey, formerly known as Belinda Effah, has marked a major personal achievement by officially joining the United States Navy and becoming a US citizen.
The 33-year-old movie star took to Instagram to share the exciting news with her fans, revealing that she recently completed boot camp and is now a certified sailor in the US Navy.
In her heartfelt message, she expressed deep gratitude to God, her family, and her fans for their unwavering support throughout her journey.
She also dedicated the achievement to the memory of her late father, Naval Aide Bassey Effah, stating that this moment is a tribute to his legacy.
Her post reads , “Last week, I graduated from U.S. Navy boot camp as a Sailor and took the oath as a citizen of the United States. Nigeria raised me. America challenged me. I stand today stronger and more determined than ever. Thank you to everyone who believed in me. This is just the beginning. In Honor of my Late Father – Naval CDR Asido Bassey Effah”.
Notably, Grace Bassey is an award-winning actress, recognized for her talent, including the Most Promising Actress of the Year award at the 9th Africa Movie Academy Awards.
