Man remanded in prison for reportedly rap!ng 3 sisters, another woman

CouA 34-year-old man, Femi James, has been ordered into custody by an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly raping four women, including three sisters.
James, whose residential address was not disclosed in court, faces a charge of rape.
Presiding Magistrate Adebola Adeola declined to take his plea due to lack of jurisdiction and instructed the police to forward the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for further legal advice. The case was adjourned until June 19 for mention.
During Thursday’s proceedings, the prosecutor, Sgt. Kehinde Olarotimi, informed the court that the alleged crimes took place between 2017 and 2025 in the Akobo area of Ibadan.
According to Olarotimi, the accused reportedly had unlawful carnal knowledge of four women—three sisters identified as Udomex G. (27), Udomex J. (28), and Udomex B. (17), as well as another woman, Idowu V. (28)—all without their consent.
He noted that the alleged offence violated Section 358 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
