JUST IN : 2 Reps’ members dump NNPP, join APC

Two members of the House of Representatives, Kabiru Usman and Abdullahi Sani, who were elected under the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The switch was formally announced during Thursday’s plenary session, with Speaker Tajudeen Abbas reading the letters of defection on the House floor.
Usman and Sani, representing Rano/Bunkure/Kibiya and Karaye/Rogo Federal Constituencies in Kano State respectively, said their decision was influenced by “the internal crisis rocking the NNPP.”
Also announcing his departure from his former party was Oluwole Oke, who represents Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in Osun State. He too has now joined the APC.
Present at the session to welcome the new entrants was APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, who showed support for the defecting lawmakers.
