Why Tinubu can solve Nigeria s problems Anyaoku

Former Commonwealth Secretary-General Emeka Anyaoku on Thursday affirmed his belief in President Bola Tinubu’s ability to address the nation’s pressing issues.

At the commissioning of various projects in Awka, the elder statesman commended Tinubu’s long-standing role in Nigeria’s democratic journey since 1999.

“Your Excellency’s personal records as a NADECO champion of the return of democracy to our country in 1999 inspires my confidence that you will successfully steer the ship of our country through his present serious challenges including the underperforming economy, which breeds massive poverty and widespread insecurity to the destination that we all the citizens of this country desire,” Anyaoku stated.

He further implored divine guidance for the President, noting the intricacies inherent in leading a diverse nation.

“Every discerning observer knows, governing our pluralistic country is a very complex task, and so I’m sure many others like me will continue to pray that God will give you the wisdom and the courage to face and address the pluralism of our country,” he stated.

In a related development, the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council, headed by Igwe Chidubem Iweka of Obosi, bestowed on President Tinubu the chieftaincy title of Dike Si Mba, which translates loosely to “Hero from another land.” The title was conferred during Tinubu’s official visit to Awka, representing the sentiments of all communities in the state.

Tinubu arrived at Chinua Achebe International Airport in Umueri at approximately 12:15 pm and was welcomed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Deputy Governor Onyeka Ibezim, and other officials. He inaugurated the newly refurbished Anambra Government House, marking a milestone for the state, and proceeded to open several other Soludo-led initiatives.

This trip marks President Tinubu’s second foray into the South-East in 2025, following his visit to Enugu State in January.
