Panic as Lagos ALGON chairman collapses during APC meeting

A tense atmosphere gripped the All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat in Lagos on Wednesday afternoon when Kolade Alabi, Chairman of Bariga Local Government and President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), collapsed unexpectedly during a stakeholders’ meeting.

The incident happened around 12:10 p.m. at the party’s Acme Road headquarters, leaving attendees visibly shaken. Eyewitnesses said Alabi was speaking when he suddenly slumped, prompting immediate efforts to resuscitate him.

He was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. While details about his condition remain unclear, party members expressed relief over his prompt treatment and are hopeful for his full recovery.
