Missing police inspector found dead in Lagos

In a tragic development that has left residents of Festac Town, Lagos State, in shock, a missing police inspector, Bishop Clement, has been found dead.
Inspector Clement was reported missing by his wife after he failed to return home on April 23, 2025.
Days later, his lifeless body was discovered at Second Rainbow in Festac. His disappearance had earlier prompted a Police Wireless Message to be circulated across all divisions and formations in Lagos.
Clement, a dedicated officer of the Nigeria Police Force, had left for duty before vanishing without a trace. Authorities have since launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, as the community mourns the tragic loss.
According to the police signal obtained by SaharaReporters and signed by the Commissioner of Police, Department of Finance and Administration (COMPOL DFA), Ikeja, and the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Area ‘B’, Apapa, the distress message was issued following a formal report by the deceased officer’s wife.
The internal signal, referenced AB: 2680/LS/AP/VOL.1/146, stated that on April 23, 2025, at about 3 pm, information was received from the wife of the Inspector with number AP/No. 352498.
The signal explained that Bishop Clement ‘M’, reported that her husband had not returned home since he left for work, and his mobile phone numbers had been unreachable.
The statement read, “AB: 2680/LS/AP/VOL.1/146 X Missing person X be informed that on 23/04/2025 at about 1500HRS X information received from the wife of AP/NO. 352498 Inspr. Bishop Clement ‘M’ attached mine X that her husband the Inspector of Police mentioned above X has not yet returned home since he left to work X and his mobile phone numbers 08062389359 X 08058981999 X have not been reachable X eye request assistance in circulating the information to other divisions/formations X for possible trace of his whereabouts X if seen inform mine for necessary.”
