Tinubu congratulates Carney on election as Canada’s Prime Minister

President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to Mr. Mark Joseph Carney following the Liberal Party’s victory in the recent Canadian parliamentary elections and Carney’s emergence as Canada’s 24th Prime Minister.
In a statement released on Tuesday by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised the significance of the electoral win, noting that it comes at a crucial time when Canada requires strong and experienced leadership.
Mark Carney, a respected economist with a global reputation, previously served as Governor of the Bank of Canada from 2008 to 2013 and the Bank of England from 2013 to 2020. His extensive background in financial leadership is seen as a valuable asset as he steps into his new role.
