Abducted LG officials regain freedom in Kwara

The Director of Personnel Management of Isin Local Government Area, Alhaji Musbau Amuda, and the council’s Legal Officer, Barrister Elizabeth Arinde, have regained their freedom after being abducted by gunmen last Friday.

According to sources, the two officials were rescued unharmed through the combined efforts of security agencies and local vigilantes. Their rescue operation reportedly took place around midnight on Monday.

Following their release, Amuda and Arinde were taken to Omu-Aran, the headquarters of the Irepodun Local Government Area, where they spent the night before reuniting with their families.

Alh Amuda’s wife confirmed the release of her husband and his colleague Monday morning.

Similarly, the chairman of Ibagun Progressive Union (IPU), Alh AbduRauf Ajao Amode and the uncle of the DPM, Alh Raufu also confirmed his release.
