Osimhen agrees personal terms with Manchester United – Reports

Nigeria international and Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has reportedly agreed personal terms with Manchester United ahead of a possible summer transfer, according to Turkish journalist Serdar Çelikler.
“Victor Osimhen has reached an agreement with Manchester United. But there is also the club side of the matter,” Çelikler said on a podcast.
The prolific striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has enjoyed an outstanding season, scoring 29 goals and contributing six assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.
Manchester United are said to be prioritising the signing of a top-tier striker in the upcoming transfer window, amid Rasmus Hojlund’s struggles in front of goal. The Danish forward has managed just three Premier League goals, and new manager Ruben Amorim is reportedly prepared to offload him this summer.

Although Osimhen is believed to have settled personal terms with United, talks between the Premier League club and Napoli over a transfer fee are ongoing. The Serie A side have set a €75 million (£63 million) release clause, but there are suggestions that a discounted deal could be struck.
Juventus, long-time admirers of the 25-year-old, remain in the picture but may be at a disadvantage as Napoli are reportedly unwilling to do business with a direct rival. This development could give United an edge in their pursuit.
However, United’s hopes of signing the striker could hinge on their European campaign. Osimhen is said to favour a move to a club competing in next season’s UEFA Champions League. In the meantime, the club is said to be keeping alternative options on standby, including Liam Delap and Jean-Philippe Mateta.
Further details emerged from Turkish journalist Ali Naci Küçük, who revealed that United have offered Osimhen a deal worth £660,000 per week before tax—an offer that would make him the highest-paid player at Old Trafford.
“There is a high possibility that Osimhen will say goodbye (to Galatasaray), but there is no decision made at the moment,” Küçük said. “Juventus and Manchester United clearly want Osimhen. Juventus and Manchester’s offer is a net €20m (£660,000-a-week).”
Despite his fine form in Turkey, Galatasaray may struggle to meet Osimhen’s salary expectations. Reports indicate the Nigerian has requested €15 million per year to stay in Istanbul.
“Osimhen’s words do not mean that he will leave,” Galatasaray vice-president Ibrahim Hatipoglu stated. “He said that Galatasaray will always be in his heart even if he leaves in the worst-case scenario, but he did not say that he would leave. We want him to stay with us.”
Speaking last week, Osimhen kept his cards close to his chest when asked about his future.
“There are always rumours about me, of course. But I prefer to live in the moment. I am enjoying myself right now. I am enjoying both the club and my life here.”
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan at the beginning of the season, with the club reportedly covering €6 million of his €10–11 million annual net salary, while parent club Napoli covered the rest.
