Easter: PAP boss, Otuaro, urges unity, peace among Niger Delta people

The Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Administrator, Dr Dennis Otuaro, has urged residents and stakeholders of the Niger Delta to use the Easter season as a time for reflection, love, and unity.

Delivering his Easter message on Sunday, Otuaro emphasized the importance of embracing the values symbolized by Jesus Christ—peace, sacrifice, and unity—especially among ex-agitators, youths, women, and men across the region.

He described Easter as a meaningful period to commemorate the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus, which he said represented God’s ultimate offering of peace and reconciliation to the world.

In a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Igoniko Oduma, Otuaro urged the people of the Niger Delta to internalize these virtues and allow them to guide efforts toward maintaining peace and fostering regional development.

He noted that the occasion should inspire a renewed commitment to values such as forgiveness, kindness, and selfless service.

Reaffirming his dedication to fulfilling the objectives of the PAP, Otuaro assured stakeholders that his leadership remains focused on achieving lasting peace, security, and progress throughout the Niger Delta.

He also called on the region’s people to stand behind President Bola Tinubu and his administration’s economic reforms, which are aimed at promoting national prosperity.

Otuaro added, “I will like to heartily greet all stakeholders of the Niger Delta on this joyous occasion of the commemoration of Easter. It is a time to reflect on its essence and the values of love, peace, forgiveness and sacrifice exemplified by the Lord Jesus Christ.

“I urge all youths, ex-agitators, men, and women to imbibe the virtues embedded in Jesus Christ and the significance of His death and resurrection as God’s perfect gift for redemption and reconciliation of mankind.

“Let us love one another, promote unity and peace in the interest of the Niger Delta. I felicitate all stakeholders and wish you a Happy Easter celebration.”
