We ll soon make Nigeria better for all Tinubu says in Easter message

As Christians across Nigeria and around the globe commemorate Easter, President Bola Tinubu has extended his warm greetings, highlighting the season’s significance and reiterating his administration’s dedication to building a more equitable and thriving nation.

In his Easter message, the President emphasized his commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to foster a just, inclusive, and prosperous society for all Nigerians.

He reflected on the essence of Holy Week—spanning from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday—as a moment for deep contemplation on the values of “sacrifice, redemption, love and hope.”

“As president of our blessed nation, I draw inspiration from this timeless message of hope and renewal,” Tinubu said in a message signed and released from the presidency.

The President expressed sorrow over recent violent events that have led to loss of lives in various parts of the country, assuring citizens of the government’s determination to restore peace and security.

“The recent tragic incidents and the loss of lives in some parts of our country deeply saddened me. I understand the pain and fear these incidents have caused.

“Let me assure you that my administration’s resolve to restore peace and security remains unshakable,” wrote the President.

He assured the public that security agencies had been instructed to respond swiftly and decisively to threats, stressing that acts of violence would not triumph over the nation.

“With the unwavering courage and commitment of our gallant men and women in uniform, we are turning the tide and making steady progress in reclaiming peace and stability,” Tinubu stated.

The President also acknowledged the current economic strain many Nigerians are enduring, noting that signs of recovery are beginning to emerge.

“We are also grateful to all Nigerians for your patience and resilience as our economy begins to show encouraging signs of recovery.

“We understand the economic challenges many of you are facing, and we are working tirelessly to restore investor confidence, stabilise key sectors, and build an inclusive economy that serves the interests of all Nigerians,” he said.

Extending his goodwill beyond Nigeria, Tinubu joined the global Christian community in celebrating the recovery of Pope Francis.

“I earnestly pray that Easter’s spirit fills every heart and home with renewed faith in the immense possibilities ahead of us as a nation.
“Just as Christ triumphed over death, so too shall our country triumph over every challenge we face. The present moment may be cloudy, but it will usher in a glorious day,” he added.

Concluding his message, President Tinubu called on Nigerians to stay united and focused on the collective goal of national advancement.

“The task before us is enormous, but together, with faith and determination, there is no obstacle we cannot overcome. Our unity and resilience are our greatest strengths.

“May the risen Christ bless our homes with peace and our nation with continued unity and prosperity,” the President said
