“While we celebrate the birth of Jesus, when it comes to Easter, it clarifies the very purpose for which Jesus was born and this is the time when He went through an agonizing experience of carrying the cross, being crucified, buried and then risen on the third day thereby given Christians and all those who believe in Him victory over sin, victory over sickness among others hence the need for the celebration of the risen of our Lord Jesus Christ from death and the bestower of victory upon those who believe in Him” He said
In his words “We need to know that whatever what we’re going through, there is that day that the morning breaks and the bible tells us that weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning hence the need for Christians to be steadfast in faith and prayers towards overcoming life challenges “.
“I believe we’re presently going through a whole lots of troubles such as economic trouble, even the one’s that are connected with our faith which is persecution, we’re given a kinds of derogatory names, suffering in one way or the other therefore we as Christians need to use this year’s occasion of Easter to reflect on its reality to know that there’s nothing we go through that Jesus did not go through as well and He came out victorious therefore every christians should know that there’s a day of victory that Jesus brings to us” Rev Dr. Gwana stressed.
He used the opportunity to appeal to Government at all levels to be committed to the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians towards ameliorating the present economic challenges in the country.
