UK based Nigerian pastor accused of using AI to stage lavish lifestyle video

Flamboyant UK-based Nigerian pastor, Tobi Adegboyega, founder of the Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church (SPAC Nation), has come under fire following claims that a video of him stepping into a Lamborghini was digitally manipulated using artificial intelligence.

The footage, which rapidly gained traction on social media, shows Adegboyega entering a Lamborghini Revuelto — a supercar reportedly valued at £580,000. However, a TikTok user known as #ihatebenn_ challenged the video’s authenticity in a widely circulated post on Friday.

According to the user, discrepancies in the video, particularly in the background where a Jeep appears out of place, suggest the scene was artificially constructed. “The whole scene looks fabricated,” said #ihatebenn_. “It’s just a trick designed to fool people into thinking he’s living a lavish lifestyle.”

In response to the viral claims, Adegboyega released his own video to refute the allegations, which he shared across his social media platforms. Appearing visibly irritated, he dismissed the suggestion that the footage was altered.

“TikTok is going to raise the next level of dummies,” Adegboyega said, ridiculing the accusations. “We don’t have to edit or AI a G-Wagon,” he added, referencing one of his luxury vehicles.

The debate has since sparked conversations online about digital authenticity, influencer culture, and the use of AI in shaping public personas.
