How simple phone call to Tinubu landed my daughter good govt job– Buba Galadima

Buba Galadima, a prominent member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and a key leader in the Kwankwasiyya movement, has shared how his daughter landed a position at the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) through President Bola Tinubu.
The outspoken Galadima, made this known during a programme on AIT monitored in Abuja.
Despite his frequent criticisms of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Galadima emphasized that his relationship with President Tinubu remains strong.
He said, “We are friends and will continue to be friends. If I need something from him, I can ask.” He went on to recount a personal story about how his daughter reached out to Tinubu for help.
Galadima explained that his daughter used his phone to contact the president, who initially thought it was him calling. “They said they are my children, and that they are calling him because the country is hard,” Galadima recalled. “They told Tinubu, ‘Our father cannot do this for us, and he told us that you are his friend.'”
Galadima continued, detailing that his daughter had just completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and was struggling to secure a job at the NUPRC, headed by Gbenga Komolafe.
According to Galadima, Tinubu responded by saying, “Call Komolafe, go and give my friend’s daughter a job.” He added, “That is why she wants to go to Mecca to thank God and President Tinubu.”
The NNPP leader also reflected on his long-standing work for former President Muhammadu Buhari, claiming his daughter had worked for Buhari without pay for four years.
“My daughter worked for him for four years, and he instructed that she should not be paid salary,” Galadima said. “Let them bring any voucher where she was paid. She worked for Buhari for four years in Osinbajo’s office without payment.”
