Abducted General, ex-ambassador, other rescued kidnap victims handed over to NSA

The National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCTC) has officially transferred Brig.-Gen. Maharazu Tsiga (rtd), former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), to the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

Tsiga, who was held captive for 56 days, was freed and handed over along with a former Ambassador and other individuals who were kidnapped by terrorists.

Recall that the former NYSC leader was abducted from his home in Bakori Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State on February 5, 2025.

During the handover, Major-General Adamu Laka, the NCTC coordinator, praised the coordinated efforts of the military, DSS, police, and other security agencies that worked tirelessly to secure the victims’ release.
