In a bid to strengthen healthcare delivery in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Minister Nyesom Wike has approved the employment of 34 Resident Doctors for a fixed seven-year residency training program.

This marks the first batch of 60 Medical Residency Trainees approved for employment across eight faculties and specialties in FCTA hospitals. The move aims to enhance the medical workforce and improve healthcare services in the region.

Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Public Communications and Social Media, confirmed the development in a statement on Wednesday, emphasizing that the initiative will significantly boost the quality of healthcare in the FCT.
