Ondo bricklayer flees after wife gives birth to triplets

A bricklayer, identified as Bayo Jeje, has reportedly fled his home after his wife, Iyanu Ehuwa Jeje, gave birth to a set of triplets at a private hospital in Igbokoda, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.
According to hospital staff, Jeje absconded upon learning that his wife had delivered three baby boys at Aribo Hospital on Tuesday.
Witnesses claimed he had been expressing concerns about his financial situation before disappearing, leaving his wife and the newborns stranded.
Mrs. Jeje initially sought medical care at Igbokoda Health Centre but was transferred to Aribo Hospital due to the absence of a doctor on duty. After a prolonged struggle, she successfully gave birth, only for her husband to vanish soon after.
Meanwhile, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, representing Ondo South Senatorial District, has intervened in the matter.
He reportedly directed his aide, Juwon Ade-Aworetan Juwon, to provide immediate financial assistance to the mother and her babies.
