A chairmanship aspirant in the 2026 FCT Area Council Election, Mallam Suleiman Ibrahim Barde  has felicitated with President Bola Tinubu and entire Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

In his Sallah message in Abuja, Barde admonished Muslims to use the occasion in praying for the unity, peace and national economic development of Nigeria.

The Chairmanship Aspirant  who is one time Councillor, Kutunku Ward and a Community Leader urged Muslims to sustain the lessons of Ramadan fast in all their endeavours equally stressed the need for them to use the period in rededicating their lives to the service of God and humanity.

According to him, this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration calls for sober reflection in view of the current situation in the country.

The Chairmanship Aspirant equally admonished Muslims to also pray for the success of the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s led administration.

He used the occasion to commend the Minister of FCT, Dr Nyeson Wike for all the ongoing road rehabilitation and construction in Gwagwalada Area Council and solicited for more people’s oriented projects most especially pipe borne water to further improve the economic and living standard of people of the area.

Mallam Suleiman Ibrahim Barde therefore stressed the need for residents of the area to always support Government’s developmental projects are programmes to enhance the progress and development of the area.

On the 2026 FCT Area Council Election, the Chairmanship Aspirant said if giving the opportunity to become the next Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, he would embark on various projects that would have direct impact on people of the area most especially the rural dwellers.

He therefore solicited the support of politicians, stakeholders and the entire residents of the area towards his emergence in next year’s Chairmanship election in Gwagwalada.

“Before now, I’ve been contributing my quota to youth and women empowerment through my NGO and I’ve equally been engaging in various community development over the years and electing me as Chairman will enable me to hit the ground running because I have already come up with my blueprint for the development of Gwagwalada Area Council,” he added .
