Civil society group lauds Nigerian Military on Eid-el-Fitr

A civil society organization, the Security, Development, and Advancement Initiative, has extended its felicitations to the Armed Forces of Nigeria in celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
The group said the fasting period that culminated to the Eid-el-Fitr celebration was also aligned with the sacrifices made by military personnel under the leadership of the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Chris Musa, in their efforts to safeguard and unify the nation.
In a statement signed by the group’s convener, Mattias Ebong, the organization praised the Nigerian military for its commitment and resilience, noting that the armed forces have continued to play a crucial role in national security.
The statement also commended the Chief of Defence Staff for leading operations that have significantly weakened insurgents, terrorists, and bandits across the country.
Ebong emphasized that the fasting period serves as a time for intercession, hoping that it will usher in peace and stability in areas affected by security challenges.
According to him, “As you celebrate the end of Ramadan and mark the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, the Security, Development, and Advancement Initiative send our warmest felicitations.
“May this joyous occasion bring you peace, happiness, and spiritual renewal. May the blessings of Allah be upon you and your loved ones.
“As we celebrate, let us remember the sacrifices being made by the Armed Forces of Nigeria to keep the country safe and united. May we continue to uphold these values in our daily lives and continuously work for our unity.”
