The Lagos State Police Command has launched a search operation for armed kidnappers who abducted two individuals from their homes in the Ijede area of Ikorodu, Lagos.

According to police sources, the attack took place on March 26 around 9:00 p.m. when unidentified gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers, forcefully entered a residence near Igbe Creek, Ijede, by breaking through a wall.

They seized 40-year-old Dare Onipede Orukila and later abducted a 25-year-old woman, Rodiat Taiwo, from a nearby house before fleeing with their captives through the creek.

According to a report by security analyst, Zagozola Makama, law enforcement agencies have since mobilized conventional police officers and tactical squads to comb the area in pursuit of the assailants.
