2027 : Benue constituency, ex-Senate President mobilise support for Tinubu, Alia

Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency in Benue South Senatorial District has reaffirmed its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership at both federal and state levels, pledging allegiance to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia.
During a massive solidarity rally, attended by former Senate President Senator Ameh Ebute and other prominent APC figures, a vote of confidence was passed in favor of both leaders.
In a statement released on Monday, the rally’s organizer, Hon. Linda Ene Agada, who serves as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Town Beautification, expressed gratitude to the people of the constituency for their overwhelming support. She commended Governor Alia for his developmental efforts across the state, despite various challenges.
Hon. Agada stated: “I’m overwhelmed with the massive support the Governor is receiving from my federal constituency. Although the Governor has made Enone his priority. The Igumale-Agila road is under construction, the Igumale-Okpoga road is also there, Primary Health Care Centre in Ai-Oduh in Ogbadibo local government among others.”
She listed several key appointments and projects benefiting the constituency, including the selection of Enone’s first Chairman of the Benue State Internal Revenue Service, the pioneer Director General of Public Procurement, and multiple other political positions at both state and federal levels.
Widely referred to as the “Lioness of Enone,” Agada emphasized that the rally was a show of appreciation for the governor’s work and a declaration of readiness to support his re-election in 2027.
On his part, former Senate President Senator Ameh Ebute, who received the rally’s declaration, commended the organizers and reaffirmed his backing for Governor Alia. He stressed the importance of continued support amid forces working against Benue’s progress.
“I want to assure you that the efforts are in order. We are hundred percent with the government, I mean, the entire zone C. I specifically thank you, Linda, for making this rally possible because this is the first of its kind in the zone,” he said.
The event saw the participation of several key figures, including Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo, former House of Representatives member and past Chairman of the House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, as well as Mr. Okoriko Aba, an insurance expert, and Hon. Fab Agada, former Chairman of Ogbadibo Local Government.
Also present were Ado Local Government Vice Chairman Jane Ikese, Ado Legislative Council Deputy Leader Hon. Sunday Otse Ogenyi, former Okpokwu Local Government Chairman Hon. Francis Olofu Ogwuche, and several other political stakeholders.
