Jehovah’s Witnesses have launched a campaign to invite Abuja residents to attend two special events in April.

The month-long campaign aims to encourage community members to join them for their annual commemoration of the death of Jesus Christ.

On Saturday, April 12, Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide will gather for the Lord’s Evening Meal, a one-hour event highlighting the significance of Jesus’ Sacrifice. This annual observance has drawn approximately 20 million attendees globally in previous years. “We invite everyone to join us in remembering Jesus Christ and the benefits of his sacrifice. Our campaign aims to share this special invitation with as many Abuja residents as possible’’, said Folarin Odebode, spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses. The event is free and open to the public and all are welcome to attend.

In addition, a special talk titled “Can Truth Be Found?” will be delivered at local Kingdom Halls on the first weekend in April: April 5 and 6. The 30-minute, Bible-based public talk will highlight what Jesus said about truth and where it can be found in this time of increasing misinformation. The talk will be followed by a one-hour discussion of a scriptural topic that allows for audience participation.
