Bandits disguises as EFCC operatives, kidnap 10 from hotel​

In a daring pre-dawn operation on February 27, 2025, armed individuals masquerading as officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) abducted ten guests from the White Hill Hotel, located on Shiroro Road in Chanchaga Local Government Area of Niger State.​

According to security analyst, Zagozola Mama, Intelligence sources revealed that the assailants disabled the hotel’s closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems before proceeding to the guests’ rooms, forcibly taking ten individuals to an undisclosed location.​

According to the report, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, State Intelligence Department (Acpol SID), confirmed that investigations were ongoing to identify the perpetrators and locate the abducted victims.

“The public has been urged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity, as authorities intensify efforts to uncover the details surrounding the attack,” Makama added.
