Villagers kill 3 captured bandits after failed attack

Authorities have confirmed that residents of Tafoki Village, located in Katsina State’s Faskari Local Government Area, killed three wounded bandits following a failed assault on their community.

The attack occurred on February 25, when around 100 armed bandits on motorcycles stormed the village. Security forces swiftly intervened, engaging the assailants in a gunfight that forced them to retreat into the forest, with many sustaining injuries.

According to local sources, three of the injured bandits were found and captured by villagers the following morning, February 26. The suspects were reportedly killed afterward.

Security agencies have been notified, and efforts are ongoing to track down the remaining fleeing attackers.
