Security forces capture suspected drug supplier linked to bandits’ operations

Security forces in Tsafe Local Government Area (LGA) of Zamfara State have apprehended an alleged drug trafficker accused of distributing illicit substances worth millions of naira to terrorists in the region.
Garba Fanchers, Chairman of the Tsafe Local Government Council, confirmed the arrest on Saturday, calling it a significant stride in the ongoing battle against insecurity.
According to Fanchers, the suspect was caught due to the persistent efforts of security operatives, supported by the local government, as part of broader state-level initiatives to combat crime.
“This success is a result of the dedication of our security personnel and the prayers and support of our people. Under my leadership, I have vowed to do everything possible to protect the lives and property of our citizens,” he stated.
He highlighted that Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration remains steadfast in its commitment to public safety, with the latest arrest underscoring the government’s resolve to dismantle criminal networks across Zamfara State.
Fanchers encouraged residents to maintain their support for security agencies and continue praying for lasting peace in the area.
“With your prayers and cooperation, we will defeat terrorism and restore peace to our communities,” he assured.
He further expressed hope that ongoing security measures would lead to more positive outcomes as authorities intensify efforts to tackle insecurity statewide.
