First Lady, Shettima’s wife visit Babangida, Abdulsalami in Niger(PHOTOS)

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, alongside Hajia Nana Shettima, wife of Vice President Kashim Shettima, recently paid a courtesy visit to former Military President General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida and former Head of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar in Niger State.

The distinguished visitors were warmly received at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna by Governor Umaru Bago, his wife, Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Bago, and other state officials.

General Babangida led Nigeria from 1985 to 1993, while General Abdulsalami Abubakar took charge in 1998 following General Sani Abacha’s death. Abdulsalami is credited with facilitating Nigeria’s return to democracy, as he handed over power to Olusegun Obasanjo in May 1999.

The visit underscores the Tinubu administration’s recognition of Nigeria’s past leaders and their contributions to the nation’s history.
