Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, sparked confusion on Sunday night after a social media post announced his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia.

The announcement, shared via the singer’s official Instagram account, announced that the couple had been apart for some time.

However, shortly after the post went viral, 2Baba released a follow-up statement claiming his account had been hacked.

In the clarification, the iconic singer assured fans that the earlier announcement did not come from him. “My Instagram account has been hacked, efforts are being carried out to take back control. #OneLove,” he wrote.

Despite the denial, a video clip reportedly showing 2Baba confirming the separation began circulating on social media shortly after.

The conflicting narratives have left fans and the public puzzled about the true state of the artist’s marriage.
