Bandit kingpin, Bello Turji, reportedly spotted in Kalage Forest

Credible sources have revealed that notorious bandit kingpin Bello Turji has been spotted in Kalage Forest, located in the Mashema area of Eastern Kagara, Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.

According to intelligence shared with counterinsurgency expert and security analyst Zagazola Makama, Turji is reportedly operating alongside two of his key lieutenants, identified as Office and Ibrahim Buzu.

The bandit leader is said to have established a fortified base within the forest, surrounded by heavily armed militants and a significant number of livestock, believed to have been looted during recent raids in the region.

Reports indicate that on Thursday, Turji recorded a video but refrained from releasing it due to fears of being tracked and targeted by security forces.

His presence in the forest has further heightened concerns about the escalating banditry in Zamfara State and its surrounding regions.

Authorities are yet to confirm the development as at the time of filing this report.
