Ganduje expresses deep condolences over deadly tanker explosion in Niger

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has extended his heartfelt sympathy to the government and residents of Niger State following the devastating tanker explosion that resulted in numerous fatalities and left many others injured.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, on Sunday, Ganduje described the tragedy as a painful loss that has caused widespread grief across the state.

“We are profoundly saddened by the loss of lives and the suffering caused by this unfortunate incident. We stand in solidarity with the government and people of Niger State in this moment of grief,” Ganduje stated.

The APC National Chairman commended the swift actions of emergency responders and emphasized the need for further assistance for the victims and their families.

He also called on the relevant authorities to implement measures that would prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.

Ganduje reassured the government and the people of Niger State of the APC’s support during this difficult time, offering prayers for the souls of the deceased and wishing for the quick recovery of those injured.

The National Chairman reiterated his commitment to promoting stronger safety regulations in transportation to protect lives and property nationwide.

PlatinumPost reports that the tragic explosion, which took place on Saturday along the Dikko-Maje Road, near the Badeggi filling station, has claimed over 80 lives.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Niger State confirmed the incident, explaining that the explosion occurred when a tanker carrying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) overturned and leaked its contents, which were being scooped by passersby before the explosion ignited.
