Bandits attack general hospital in Katsina, shoot doctor, kidnap staff

Tragedy struck the General Hospital in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State as bandits launched a violent attack, shooting a medical doctor and kidnapping several staff members.
The attack, which occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, caused panic among hospital staff and patients as the bandits stormed the premises, firing sporadically.
Dr. Murtala Sale Dandashire, a distinguished graduate of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, was shot in the leg while attending to patients.

A resident, speaking anonymously, confirmed that Dr. Dandashire is alive and receiving treatment at an undisclosed medical facility.
Known for his excellence, the doctor was the overall best graduating student in ABU’s Class of 2019, earning 13 awards for his academic achievements.
The Katsina State Police Command spokesperson, Sadiq Abubakar, confirmed the incident and stated that investigations are ongoing to uncover the details and apprehend the perpetrators.
