PDP: Despite court order, Anyanwu resumes as national secretary, says only S’Court can decide

Senator Samuel Anyanwu has reiterated that he remains the substantive National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) despite a recent Appeal Court ruling.
Last week, the Appeal Court in Enugu State dismissed Anyanwu’s claim to the position, upholding a prior decision that recognized former National Youth Leader, Sunday Okoye, as the party’s National Secretary.
However, during his arrival at the PDP National Headquarters in Abuja at approximately 10:50 am on Monday, Anyanwu stated that a stay of execution on the court’s ruling preserves the status quo.
He stated, “As you can see, I’m in the office. As a matter of fact, the ruling of the Appeal Court judgment has been appealed at the Supreme Court, and there is a stay of execution. So, the position remains the way it is until determined by the Supreme Court.”
