Real reason I accepted Super Eagles job – Eric Chelle

Eric Chelle, the newly appointed head coach of the Super Eagles, has shared the reasons behind his decision to accept the prestigious role, emphasizing that it was an opportunity he could not turn down, as the Nigerian national team stands as the best in Africa.
Chelle, who recently ended his tenure with Algerian club MC Oran with a 1-0 victory over US Biskra, expressed his gratitude for his time with the club.
“This was my last game in charge of MC Oran,” Chelle stated to Algerian sporting media.
“I worked with enthusiasm and of course the pressure.
“I will miss the fans, so also the critics.”
Chelle, whose appointment as Super Eagles head coach has attracted significant attention, acknowledged the prestige of the Nigerian team.
“I have officially joined Nigeria, who are without doubt the best team in Africa,” Chelle remarked.
Reiterating his excitement about the new role, the 47-year-old coach said, “This is a huge opportunity I could not refuse, I grab it with both hands.”
The coach, who will earn $50,000 per month, will be accompanied by three assistants, each of whom will receive $5,000 from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). Chelle is expected to arrive in Abuja today, and his formal public introduction will take place on Monday.
