Bandits have launched a retaliatory attack in Bilbis, located in the Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara, following the deaths of two of their members at the hands of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).
The attack occurred after the bandits lost two men during a market raid in the community.

Makama noted that the CJTF operatives had successfully neutralized the two bandits on January 11, 2025, during the weekly market day. They also seized two Honda motorcycles used by the criminals.
Intelligence sources revealed to Zagazola Makama that the CJTF intercepted the bandits, leading to a confrontation that resulted in the death of the two armed men. After the operation, the operatives returned to their base.
Following the CJTF’s departure, a fresh group of bandits launched a retaliatory attack on the town.
The situation escalated, prompting the deployment of military personnel to Bilbis to restore order and protect the residents’ lives and properties.
