Real reason I regretted advocating for Mohbad’s exhumation – Iyabo Ojo

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has shared her regret about advocating for the exhumation of late singer Mohbad’s body.

Speaking during a recent podcast interview with fellow actress Biola Bayo, Iyabo admitted she wishes she had not pushed for the action, given the controversies and delays it caused in giving the singer a proper burial.

Iyabo Ojo initially championed the exhumation to uncover the cause of Mohbad’s death through an autopsy.

However, the process became mired in complications, leaving her disheartened by the unintended consequences.

Reflecting on the matter, Iyabo expressed remorse for her involvement, highlighting the emotional toll and the backlash that followed her well-intentioned efforts to seek justice for the late artist.

“I wouldn’t have requested that Mohbad be exhumed If I knew his case would turn out this way.

“I just wanted Mohbad’s body exhumed so they could do the autopsy to find out the cause of his death.

“I did my best to be sure that everyone was investigated but when they came up with different theories, DNA became more important to them”, she said.

Platinumpost reports that Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was initially buried the next day.

His body was later exhumed on September 21, 2023, for an autopsy, as part of the investigation into his death.
