 Islamic school graduates 8 students from adult literacy class in Jiwa

An Islamic School, Makarantar Ittihadil Ummah Alal-Sunnati Muhammad (S.A.W), Jiwa Abuja has graduated eight students from its adult literacy class.

The students are:- Alhaji Isah Usman, Muhammad Sani Umar, Hashim Adam, Alhaji Haruna Ibrahim, Malam Isah Awwal, Alhaji Yahaya Garba, Malam Zubairu Adamu and Alhaji Ashafa Khamis.

Speaking during the Qur’anic Graduation Walimah held in Jiwa Abuja , the Teacher and Pioneer of the School, Ustaz Yahaya Abdullahi -Pandogari said the adult literacy programme was to give those who are not opportuned to learn the holy Qur’an at their early stage in life

He admonished parents to inculcate the fundamental principles and basis for learning the recitation of the holy Quar’an in traditional and conventional method in their children.

Ustaz Abdullahi -Pandogari said the call became necessary to further ensure a Godly and better future generation for the country.

While describing both western and Islamic education as key to national development’, the Islamic Scholar also stressed the need for male adults to develop keen interest in Islamic education.

Some of the male adults who participated in the Quar’anic Walimah, a Director , Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Haruna Ibrahim and Alhaji Ashafa Khamis, Dan Majen Jiwa expressed gratitude to Allah for the opportunity.

They said the knowledge of the holy Qur’an would further enable them to contribute meaningfully to the society and above all know Almighty Allah better towards gaining eternal life.

Highpoints of the event were Nasiha , recitation of the holy Qur’an, among others.
