2027 – Kwankwaso will ensure PDP gets less than 15,000 votes in Kano – NNPP

The Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kano , Hashimu Dungurawa, says the leader of the party, Rabiu Kwankwaso, will ensure that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gets less than the 15,000 votes it secured in 2023 general elections in the state, come 2027 general elections.
Addressing newsmen in Kano on Thursday, Dungurawa also dismissed claims by the All Progressives Congress in the state that Kwankwaso-NNPP presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections,is a political refugee seeking relevance.
He described Kwankwaso as a “True Democrat” who never joined a ruling party, but rather defected from a ruling party, the PDP,and spearheaded the formation of the APC which captured power in 2015.
“So, certainly Kwankwaso is not a political refugee as claimed by the APC.He is a true democrat that fights injustice and misrule and brings change to Nigeria,” he said.

According to the chairman, the APC did not only capture power at the centre under President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015,it also captured Kano and several other states,as well as State and National Assembly seats.
“All these were due the efforts of our leader, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, who will God willing, become the next president of Nigeria, come 2027,” adding “We will ensure that the PDP gets less than the 15,000 votes it got in 2023 general elections in the state, come 2027 general elections.”
Recall that the Kano State chapter of the APC recently described Kwankwaso as a political refugee who had chosen to cling to Governor Abba Yusuf “like a leech in a futile attempt to regain relevance in the scheme of things in the country.”
The Chairman of the party, Prince Abdullahi Abbas, who made the remark in a statement, warned Kwankwaso that the APC would not allow “a repeat of the vote manipulation and allocation that created the impression that the NNPP is well-rooted in Kano State in the 2023 general elections.”
“Our teeming supporters in the APC have no cause to worry about Kwankwaso who has been booted out of the NNPP due to his cluelessness and self-centeredness.
“We expect Kwankwaso to keep wondering why he has become a wanderer in the political terrain,” Abbas said.
