Police declare 2 wanted in Edo

The Zone Five Headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force has declared Uyi Igiebor and Emmanuel Aigbedo, both from the Obagie-Nevbuosa community in Edo State, wanted.
In a statement issued by the Zonal Police Spokesperson, Tijani Momoh, the duo is accused of conspiracy, murder, kidnapping, and unlawful possession of firearms.
The police boss said that the warrant of arrest was duly obtained from the relevant authority, as well as a motion exparte filed in the High Court of Justice, Edo State, pursuant to sections 35, 36, 37, 38, 39 and 40 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Edo State 2016 and section 4 of the Police Act 2020 as amended.

The statement read, “The Zone 5 Headquarters, Benin City under the leadership of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Arungwa Nwazue, hereby declare the aforementioned persons wanted in a case of conspiracy, multiple murders, kidnapping and unlawful possession of firearms.
“In this regard, a warrant for apprehension was duly obtained from the relevant authority, as well as a motion exparte filed in the High Court of Justice, Edo State, pursuant to sections 35, 36, 37, 38, 39 and 40 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Edo State 2016 and section 4 of the Police Act 2020 as amended.
“If seen, they are to be arrested and handed over to the nearest Police station or to the office of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 5 Headquarters, Benin City, or call 08073110892. A handsome reward awaits any person or group of persons, who provides useful information leading to the arrest of any of the wanted persons.”
