Gunmen kidnap 2 pastors in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of two pastors from the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria, also known as Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa A Nigeria (EYN).
The victims, Rev. James Kwayang and Rev. Ishaku Chiwar, were kidnapped late Sunday night in the Song Local Government Area of the state.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, disclosed that personnel have been deployed to track down the abductors and ensure the safe rescue of the clergymen. The two pastors serve at the EYN Local Church Council (LCC) in Mbila-Malibu.

“We call all Nigerians and the entire EYN community to join us in prayers for the safe and speedy release of the two men of God, comfort and strength for their families and loved ones, wisdom and effectiveness for the security personnel working towards their release as well as for peace and protection for the EYN community and all those affected by this incident.
He added, “This incident has sent shockwaves throughout the EYN community, and we request your prayers and support during this difficult time.”
Platinumpost reports that the abductors were yet to be identified and have not contacted the church or the families of their abductees at the time of this report.
