Troops arrest woman while reportedly supplying logistics to bandits

Troops of the 1 Brigade, Operation FANSAN YANMA, have apprehended a woman for reportedly supplying logistics to bandits in Zamfara State.

According to a report on Friday by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, the arrest occurred after intelligence reports flagged suspicious movements.

Acting on the information, authorities set up a temporary checkpoint on the Kware to Badarawa road in Shinkafi Local Government Area.

Sources revealed to Makama that the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Shamsiyya Ahadu, was discovered with 764 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, six magazines, and a talisman known locally as ‘laya,’ suggesting her possible involvement in unlawful activities.

Ahmed Husaini, a motorcycle rider accompanying Ahadu, was also taken into custody during the operation.
