Police arrest 3 suspects over stolen motorcycle in Bauchi

The Bauchi State Police Command has apprehended three suspects in connection with the theft of a Boxer-model motorcycle in Tenti-Babba, a community in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The suspects, identified as Yakubu Aminu, Abdul Lawal, and Buhari Abdullahi, are all residents of Magama Gumau Town in Toro Local Government Area.
Their arrest followed a report filed by the motorcycle owner, Haruna Maguwa, who informed the police about the theft.
The Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Ahmed Wakil, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Thursday.

According to Wakil, the suspects are facing charges of criminal conspiracy, theft, and receiving stolen property.
“Investigation led to the identification of the three suspects. On December 18, 2024, at about 0700 hours, the Police Command executed a successful operation resulting in the arrest of the three individuals.
“The stolen motorcycle was recovered from the suspects, who had intended to sell it to an unsuspecting buyer,” Wakil explained.
He said the suspects would be charged in court after the completion of police investigation.
