Tragedy as female corps member slumps, dies in Kebbi

A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Tayachibiyacha Ebal, with code KB/24C/918, has tragically passed away while serving at Dakingari in Kebbi State.

Ebal, a female corps member, reportedly slumped and was immediately rushed to the camp clinic at Dakingari for medical attention.

She was later transferred to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Birnin-Kebbi, where she sadly passed away despite all efforts by medical personnel.

In a statement issued by Comrade Nurudeen Bala Fingiller, the spokesman for the Kebbi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, it was confirmed that the remains of the deceased have been returned to her family in Adamawa State.

“Consequently, I want to use this medium to pay a condolence message to His Excellency and all our teeming youths, on behalf of NYSC and the Kebbi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, on this irreparable loss,” he added.

“I further appreciate the effort and financial support by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, which helped in facilitating the burial arrangement by both the ministry and the family of the deceased.”
