BREAKING: Edo Assembly suspends all LG chairmen, deputies

The Edo State House of Assembly has suspended the Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of all 18 Local Government Councils in the state over allegations of misappropriation of funds.

The decision was reached during Tuesday’s plenary session after thorough deliberations by lawmakers representing the affected local councils.

In the meantime, the Assembly has directed the legislative heads of the councils to take over administration for the next two months.
