Troops, vigilantes neutralize 2 bandits in Zamfara forest raid

Troops from the Forward Operating Base Anka, operating under 1 Brigade of the Joint Task Force North West’s Operation Hadarin Daji, have joined forces with the Zamfara State Community Protection Guard (ZSCPG) and local vigilantes to conduct a combat patrol in Bambaran Village, Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

According to a report by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, the joint security team encountered bandits during the operation, resulting in a firefight that led to the neutralization of two bandits.

Recovered items included a PKT machine gun, one AK-47 rifle, a magazine, and three rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.

The report emphasized the significance of this operation, emphasizing the ongoing collaboration between the military and other security agencies in the Operation Hadarin Daji Theatre.

The effort is part of broader measures to enhance security in Zamfara State and the North West region.
