 Kaduna gov sacks Samuel Aruwan appoints new commissioners others

In a significant cabinet shake-up, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has removed Samuel Aruwan, the pioneer Commissioner for Internal Security, from his position.

The announcement was made in a statement released on Saturday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Musa.

As part of the reshuffle, Ibrahim Mohammed has been named the new Commissioner for Finance, along with other appointments to key positions in the state administration.

The newly appointed officials are :
James Atung Kanyip – Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs
Ibrahim Mohammed – Commissioner for Finance
Barde Yunana Markus – Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs
Farida Abubakar Ahmed – Executive Director (Radio), Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC)
Vitus Azuka Ewuzie – Senior Special Assistant, Legal Matters
Francis Damina – Senior Special Assistant, Research and Documentation
Victor Mathew Bobai – Senior Special Assistant, Public Affairs
Abdulmutallib Isah – Senior Special Assistant, Special Duties
Abdulhaleem Ishaq Ringim – Special Assistant, Economic Matters

Samuel Aruwan, who served as the first Commissioner for Internal Security, was initially appointed by former Governor Nasir El-Rufai in 2019 when the ministry was established. Before this role, Aruwan was the Senior Special Assistant on Media to El-Rufai from 2015 to 2019.
