JUST IN: Again, ex-Kogi gov Yahaya Bello honours EFCC’s invitation

Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello is currently in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of misappropriating state funds during his tenure.

Sources report that Bello, for the second time, honored the EFCC’s invitation on Tuesday, November 26. He arrived at the commission’s headquarters in a black Hilux vehicle, accompanied by his legal team.

The investigation into Bello comes after a Supreme Court judgment upheld the constitutionality of the EFCC to investigate and prosecute such cases.

The allegations center on the alleged misuse of funds belonging to the Kogi State Government, raising concerns over financial accountability during his administration.

As the anti-graft agency continues its probe, the case underscores the EFCC’s efforts to hold public officials accountable for their actions while in office.
