Bandits strike again in Kaduna, abduct village head, 14 others

Bandits have launched a devastating attack in Ungwan Babangida, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State and abducted the village head, Babangida Sojiji and 14 others in the process.
According to Aminu Khalid, the youth leader of Dokan Karji, the attackers invaded Ungwan Babangida village with sophisticated weapons, shooting sporadically before whisking their victims away on Thursday night.
This incident comes just 48 hours after bandits kidnapped four farmers in Libere community in the same Local Government Area ¹.
The victims include three women and nine men, as well as two laborers from Jigawa State and Ikara Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Khalid condemned the attack, stating that “Kauru communities need serious military actions against these bandits who have occupied many villages and many breadwinners were gruesomely killed”.
Khalid also called on the Federal Government and security operatives to intensify their efforts to cripple the activities of these criminals.
However, he commended the vigilante groups for their efforts in foiling several kidnapping attempts in the area.
