Nigerian Actor, ‘Baba Gbenro’, is dead

Moses Are, a Nigerian gospel film producer and actor famed for his role in the popular series Abattoir and affectionately known as Baba Gbenro, has passed away.

The news of his death was shared on Instagram on Thursday by fellow gospel actor and producer, Oluwaseun Adejumobi.

“Heaven’s Gain Again.

“A General Has Gone to Rest,” Adejumobi wrote.

The announcement has drawn an outpouring of condolences and expressions of grief from fans and colleagues within the entertainment industry.

Baba Gbenro was the founder and International President of Calvary Movies Drama Ministry, headquartered in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, South-West Nigeria. Additionally, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Calvary Movies Television.
