Another Russian General reportedly killed in combat against Ukrainian forces
In a significant development on the frontlines of the ongoing war, Major General Pavel Klimenko, the commander of the Russian 5th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade, has been reportedly killed in battle while engaging Ukrainian troops.
His death marks a heavy blow to the Russian military, as he becomes the eighth Russian officer of general rank to be killed since the onset of the war.
According to a post on the verified X handle of Visegrad24, on Thursday, Klimenko, a senior military officer in the Russian armed forces, was reportedly leading his brigade in the contested region when he was struck down.
