APC claims all chairmanship, councillorship seats in Cross River LG elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in the recent local government elections in Cross River State, winning all 18 chairmanship and 196 councillorship seats.

The announcement was made by Ekong Boco, chairperson of the Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission, during a press briefing at the commission’s office in Calabar on Sunday.

The elections, held across all 18 local government areas of the state on Saturday, saw the APC securing a sweeping victory.

In his address, Mr. Boco urged the newly elected chairpersons and councillors to demonstrate magnanimity in their triumph and prioritize the development of their respective local government areas.

He concluded the event by presenting certificates of return to the winners, marking a significant milestone for the APC in Cross River State.
