SABMF to host stakeholders roundtable on Northern Nigeria youth development

The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation (SABMF) has announced its plan to convene a roundtable on Northern Nigeria Youth Development.

According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Foundation’s Director-General, Engr. Dr. Abubakar Gambo Umar, the event, scheduled for November 19, 2024, aims to address the critical challenges confronting the youth in Northern Nigeria and promote collaborative efforts among key stakeholders.

“The myriad of problems associated with our teeming youth makes it imperative that all stakeholders come together. This roundtable will provide a platform to discuss these challenges and work towards sustainable solutions,” the statement quoted Engr. Umar as saying.

PlatinumPost reports that the two-day event will gather representatives from various sectors, including government, civil society, religious leaders, traditional rulers, academia, and, importantly, the youth themselves. This inclusive approach is designed to ensure that the voices of young people are heard and considered in the discussions.

“The Roundtable will focus on critical areas such as education, employment, skills trainings, health, and social empowerment, aiming to create actionable strategies that can be implemented at local and national levels.

” The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation invites all interested parties to participate in this vital conversation about the future of Northern Nigeria’s youth. Together, we can forge a path towards a brighter, more sustainable future for the next generation,” the statement added.
